First Baptist Polk City is fully committed to seeing the Gospel spread locally and abroad. We take seriously the words of Jesus in the following verses.

Matthew 28:18-20 "Jesus came near and said to them, 'All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'"

Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

We believe that Jesus has made it clear that one of our primary objectives is to share the Gospel locally and abroad and then to teach people how to progress in their pursuit of holiness and relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. At present, FBC has formed a Vision Team that is prayerfully considering what it would look like for our congregation to be even more intentionally missional. We believe that exciting times are ahead as we simply commit to do what Jesus has already told us to do.
